If one happens to have extra $2 million to be spent in a car, no other choices come close than the Pagani Huayra. For costing this much, this supercar has easily been the top choice of the world's richest and most famous. What's with the Huayra which draws the world's elites to it?
Horacio Pagani, the Italian-Argentinian designer never failed with the Huayra. The supercar boasts of an entire carbon fiber body. It is powered by 6.0-liter twin turbo V-12 which is outsourced from Mercedes-AMG. The Huayra is very exclusive and limited as only 100 of it were made.
This is definitely one of the reasons why the world's elites clamor for this supercar. Anything limited brings necessary and required distinction which the rich and famous exude and demand. The Pagani Huayra still is a highly coveted car and demand to have one is still considerably high.
Recently, Pagani Huayra is on sale for $2.09 million as it was listed on JamesEdition by Dubai-based broker Knight International. The Huayra on sale was built in 2014 and only has 1,616 miles to it. It is all red-tinted with black leather upholstery. Price is definitely not an issue as this is expected to be sold to one of the world's top millionaire in no time.
Pagani Huayra definitely offers different styles best suited for the world's most powerful and influential. For one, there is Pagani Huayra Roadster which took so long to make. Again, because of the time, it took in the process, its level of exclusivity gets all the more amped up.
The Pagani Huayra Roadster stays true to Pagani's tradition as another addition to its extreme car line-up. It may be extreme to the strictest sense of the word but it offers top-notch unbridled comfort. Pagani also learned valuable lessons based on its Zonda R.

In September 2015, people was greatly shocked upon hearing the Diesel Volkswagen Scandal. Volkswagen Company was known in promoting "Clean Diesel" over the years. This reputation was stained when the Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resource Board report's a cheating scheme from Volkswagen.
Many diesel owners have expressed their concerns about the situation they are facing right now. Diesel owners purchased the sedan mainly because of the performance of the vehicle. Customers are anxious that they would be forced to initiate vehicle repair, and the repair would destroy the sedan's performance.
Customers choose to have Volkswagen Buyback instead of the vehicle repair. The customer would rather let go of the diesel car than to have it fixed and worry later about the car's performance. With this, many believed that most of the diesel owners will not have their Volkswagen at all.
Out of 475,000 illegally rigged Audi and VW 2.0-Liter diesel sedans that were registered in U.S, only 6,200 owners opted out for repairs. The remaining 238,000 chose to have Volkswagen Buyback as their cars or terminate their leases. The situation means 97.5 percent got out striking while the iron is hot.
Volkswagen has reported that they have bought back or repaired a grand total of 244,200 Audi and VW 2.0-liter diesel. This means that only 2.5 percent of diesel owners chose to have their vehicle fix for them to comply with the Federal Regulation.
The Volkswagen Buyback was approved last October 2016. The fix for the 2.0-liter diesel was approved January this year. The Volkswagen Payback is three months ahead. However, more and more diesel owners are still opting out to this option.
Volkswagen is reaping the fruits of their mistake. However, according to reports, Volkswagen U.S is still making sales. Sales are increasing up to 10.1 percent for the year for VW 2.0-liter, and Audi's is up 8.8 percent. Volkswagen suggested that the increase was due to the payback customer.

2017 Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport: A Safer, More Spacious And More Comfortable Car

Following on from the earlier generations, which got the award as the European Car of the Year in 2009, and with approaching a quarter of a million sold in the U.K. to date, the new 2017 Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport is now based on a completely new architecture. The modified proportions have resulted in a more spacious interior, giving the car a much better athletic appearance and an upgraded road stance.
The automaker, Vauxhall, is promising a safer and more comfortable car than the current model. It is wider and has a longer wheelbase, and features high-end technology new to Vauxhall.
There will also be a lot of upgrades in fuel efficiency. Vauxhall has managed to get up to 175kg in weight compared to the ongoing Insignia, and aerodynamics are also better.
The new 2017 Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport will be available with a LED matrix headlight option, which will provide improved night time vision and a function to automatically avoid dazzling road users ahead with the main beam. Lane-keeping assist will also be offered together with the lane departure warning system, adaptive cruise control and rear cross traffic alert, and the latter warning of incoming vehicles when reversing out of parking spaces.
In addition, there will be a new eight-speed automatic transmission option, a four-wheel drive variant which has a torque-vectoring technology and adjusting the drive to single rear wheels to help improve traction of the car and stability when cornering. The petrol engine is an all-new 1.5-liter Turbo powertrain. This turbocharged four-cylinder that has a central direct injection belongs to the family of all-aluminum small displacement petrol engines that's known for their performance.
Meanwhile, the diesel engine includes the 1.6-liter Turbo D ecoTEC that is offered with either 110PS or 136PS. Technical features of the 136PS engine will include a low-emission combustion system, a water-cooled turbo charged with variable turbine geometry, a multi-injection fuel system, a switchable water pump and variable displacement oil pump. The all-new 2017 Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport is now on sale and is priced from £17,115 on-the-road, and will hit at dealerships in May 2017.

Review: 2016 Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce

I slowly approached the bright yellow 2016 Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce parked in the paddock of the Circuit de Catalunya outside Barcelona, Spain, and caressed its massive rear wing with my fingertips. I touched the carbon fiber expanse with the sort of tenderness one might pet a wild tiger, and—as if fearing it might bite off my hand— studied the massive supercar’s lines.
By any measure, the ‘standard’ (and I use that term lightly) Aventador coupe and roadster are intimidating to behold, with hard lines and gaping intakes often offset by bright paint schemes. The Superveloce (SV), which, roughly translated, means ‘super-fast,’ is something altogether more imposing. Lamborghini designers enhanced the lines and looks of the Aventador not simply to intimidate, but also to improve aerodynamics and performance.
My first view of the hulking, Italian wedge of carbon fiber and fury was of its rear end, with its new, large rear diffuser topped with a massive rear wing. The back end now has extra exposed carbon elements, accentuated further by four naked exhaust pipes and several vertical rear fins that route air off the underbody and into the slip stream. Closer to the cabin, a mesh structure dissipates heat generated by the 6.5-liter V-12 engine, fed by fixed cooling ducts above the rear wheels. Up front, the story is much the same: the nose, like the rear, is sharper and sleeker. A more open design conjures images of an open-mouthed megalodon ready to strike and improves airflow across the brakes while pushing the car down into the pavement for quicker handling.
In short, the looks of the Aventador SV could terrify even primordial fish that thrive in deep-sea inky blackness, all for the sake of performance and aerodynamics.

Facts and Figures

If the looks of the Aventador SV don’t impress, the specs ought to do the trick. Not only is the SV more slippery through the wind than Aventadors past, it’s also faster and more powerful. The sprint to 62 mph is surpassed in 2.8 seconds, and the SV tops out at a long-legged 217 mph (or higher), making it the fastest series-production Lamborghini.
The improved acceleration is thanks to a V-12 engine that produces 750 horsepower and 507 pound-feet of torque—50 more ponies than the quotidian Aventador. All of that torquey goodness is routed to all four wheels by way of a super-quick 7-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission. Curb weight is down 110 pounds to 3,362 lbs, good for a power-to-weight ratio of 4.4 pounds per horsepower.

De Catalunya

Facts and figures about a supercar are virtually meaningless without the opportunity to test them. Roaring out onto the tarmac where the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix was held weeks earlier, I felt a great deal of trepidation. Lamborghini’s handlers, just before they sent us out on track, warned that the blisteringly fast SV had tons of grip. They made sure to add that, although it was very fast, once it exceeded its limits, it could go off the track even faster.
For the first few corners, I babied it a bit, not wanting to send the SV sailing off into a tire wall and myself to an early grave. Quickly, though, I was seduced by the SV’s savage acceleration and visceral exhaust note. Just a few laps in, I found myself hot on the tail of another journalist, four-wheel drifting our cars through the famous Renault corner, a sweeping right-hander, to keep up with the lead race car driver. The white SV ahead pelted my car with chunks of Pirelli PO Corsa tires, like a rally car kicking up gravel, leaving rubbery battle scars across the hood.
Thankfully, the SV’s braking abilities are even more astonishing than its acceleration. What’s astonishing about the carbon-ceramic brakes isn’t the force with which they slow the car, but their ability to repeat the performance ceaselessly. One 160-mph lap after the next, I’d get the SV up to speed on the front straight before slamming it back down to around 60 mph before the first corner, replicating similar hard braking maneuvers without fuss or fade. Looking back at it, slow-motion memories linger.
Equally enviable are the improved suspension and steering systems. For the first time in the Aventador, Lamborghini has added its dynamic steering system, which adapts the steering ratio to the road speed. Revised, magnetic dampers upgrade the Aventador SV’s ride to “cloud-like,” which is surprising, given its brutal nature.
Of all the things that I love about the SV—and there are many—perhaps my favorite is the sensation of changing gears. There’s really no sensation like turning the dial to Corsa, stomping on the accelerator, and feeling a punch of raw, unbridled acceleration, backed by the sounds of the symphonic V-12 exhaust note. Shifts are free of drama in Strada and Sport drive modes.

Worth It

What will this thing cost you? Approximately $493,095. Lamborghini will only build 600 examples of the Aventador SV, around 200 of which are allocated to the U.S. market, which makes it pretty darn rare. Moreover, the Aventador SV is only the fourth model ever to wear the Superveloce badge.
In spite of its rarity and performance, I’m sure most people would look at a car like the Aventador SV and presume that such a thing couldn’t possibly be worth half a million dollars. In many instances, I’d agree with them. This time, I can’t. The Aventador SV is more than just sinister looks and a loud exhaust note with world-class driving performance and scissor doors. It’s all of those things combined, backed by a brand as enviable as any on the planet.
Most Aventador SVs, as the chariot of choice for pop stars and sheiks, will probably be relegated to slowly cruising through downtown Beverly Hills or collecting dust in a garage in Abu Dhabi. You don’t need an experience like racing on Catalunya to understand why the Aventador SV is more than a showpiece, but it should be a mandatory part of the ownership experience.

2016, 2017 Nissan LEAF Evs Being Offered At $17,500 Off Thanks To Wisconsin Clean Cities

Although Tesla is the biggest name when it comes to full-electric vehicles, EVs are still not as affordable. That's why a nonprofit organization, Wisconsin Clean Cities, is set change just that, as they are paving the way for the 2016 and 2017 Nissan LEAF models to be more affordable to consumers.
he Tesla Model 3 is priced at $35,000. But in order to get one, you'd have to wait for a while. So, to get consumers to buy EVs at a much affordable price, Wisconsin Clean Cities is offering a massive discount, slashing a total of $17,500 from the 2016 and 2017 Nissan LEAF models' original prices.
"Wisconsin Clean Cities is thrilled to build on the successes of the two previous REV UP WISCONSIN cycles to allow for expanded use of electric vehicles in the state at a reduced price to consumers," according to their press release. "When you are able to combine cost savings with emissions reductions and cleaner air, everyone wins."
The REV UP WISCONSIN in partnership with Wisconsin Clean Cities, Alliant Energy, Nissan, Madison Gas & Electric, We Energies, Minnesota Power, Wisconsin Public Service, and Xcel Energy is offered to benefit everybody. Thus, their $10,000 group buy discount for consumers, including participating utility company employees, plus $7500 federal tax credit allows a combined total of savings of $17,500 for every 2016 and 2017 Nissan LEAF model.
Also, this third phase has been extended until June 30 for Wisconsin utility customers. Now, for buyers to get the discount, they need to bring a copy of their electric bill and a code corresponding to the utility to participating Nissan dealers.
These participating and certified Nissan dealers include Gandrud Nissan in Green Bay, Bergstrom Nissan in Appleton and Oshkosh, Rosen Nissan in Milwaukee and Madison, Russ Darrow Nissan in Milwaukee, Zimbrick Nissan in Madison, Boucher Nissan in Waukesha, Gordie Boucher Nissan Greenfield, Pischke Motors Nissan in La Crosse, John Amato Nissan in Milwaukee, Eau Claire Nissan, and Stevens Point Nissan.
So, if ever consumers decide to get one 2016 or 2017 Nissan LEAF model, they should know that this EV is equipped with a 30/kWh battery pack that is good for a range of around 107 miles on a single charge. This battery pack is standard on all trim levels of the LEAF.
The 2017 Nissan LEAF has an 80-kilowatt electric motor or 107 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque. It has an EPA rating of 112 MPGe combined.
A full charge takes about 7 hours from a 240-volt level 2 AC source with the 3.6-kW charger, but it only takes around 6 hours with the 6.6-kW charger, which is optional.
The incentives offered by organizations like Wisconsin Clean Cities contribute to the growing number of electric vehicle users. And hopefully, others will follow in the future and would allow for EVs like the Nissan LEAF to be more budget-friendly.

General Motors’ Chevrolet Volt Re-Badged As Buick Velite 5 For Chinese Market; Next Up Is Chevrolet Bolt EV?

General Motors strapped a Buick badge onto a Chevrolet Volt to market the extended-range electric vehicle in China. Dubbed, Buick Velite 5, this EV was introduced during the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show.
Since Buick is already a hot brand in China, compared with GM's other brands, it is no surprise that the automaker decides to rebadge one of its best-selling EVs in the Chinese market. But this is part of the "Buick Blue" initiative, wherein Buick will introduce a number of hybrids, EVs, and plug-in to the Chinese market.
In the powertrain department, the Buick Velite 5 is still identical to that of the current Chevrolet Volt. Powering the EV is a pair of 1.5-liter inline-4, serving as a range extender, and 18.4-kWh lithium-ion battery mounted low mated to an electronically variable automatic transmission.
Buick claims that this EV can go up to 72 miles using the vehicle's electric mode only, while it can achieve 477 miles on a full charge and a full tank of gas, although it is still unclear as to which is the basis for the automaker's range estimates.
Inside, the interior looks nicer compared with the current Volt. But peel off the layers, it's still the same Chevy. It comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay. The OnStar 4G LTE is being offered. Plus, multiple driving assistance systems such as automatic parking assist and adaptive cruise control and Bose premium sound system are also available.
Buick Velite 5 is the first ever electric vehicle market under the "Buick Blue" initiative in China. But others are set to follow in the next couple of years, and these could include a plug-in hybrid.
Although if you consider the hybrid-electric version of the LaCrosse that was introduced in China, then the Buick Velite 5 is the second vehicle to arrive in mainland under the "Buick Blue" initiative. Regardless, what is clear is that it is still unknown whether the LaCross hybrid will make its way to US soil.
Buick Velite 5 is pretty efficient based on the claimed numbers from its automaker. And since GM is using the Buick badge for China, the Chevrolet Bolt EV could be the next EV under the Buick badge.

MG E-Motion Concept Unveiled In Shanghai; May Never Reach The US?

MG E-Motion recently was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show. The company also used this auspicious event to announce its intent of bringing the concept to production by 2020. Such news definitely gave industry experts and car enthusiasts something to look forward to.
Matthew Cheyne, MG UK's sales, and marketing boss said that the response to the concept has been overwhelmingly positive. He continued on by saying that the encouraging reception to the concept gives its chances of being in the market highly likely to happen. Since the intention is there, MG is poised to have the E-Motion become available on the market three years from now.
However, it is important to note that the concept is very new. This means there is no official word if the concept will, in any way, be the same as the actual production car. This is usually the case between the car concept versus the actual production car. Most of the time, the production car slightly veers away from its concept released a couple of years earlier.
SAIC Motor, MG's parent company also has yet to give it a go signal. However, hopes are up as the concept car may highly likely come to fruition. There is also very limited information on its powertrain. MG just said that the MG E-Motion is capable of accelerating from zero to 62 mph in under four seconds.
US buyers may also just remember MG as a small two-seater sports car. Though MG is not a well-known brand in the U.S., it is a highly capable automaker in other parts of the globe. The E-Motion is a sports car concept eager to let the whole world know about it.
The MG E-Motion has little bits of similarities with Mazda for its headlights and Jaguar for the way the rear glass cascades down the back. Unfortunately, the MG E-Motion concept car may not ever reach the U.S. soil. However, this concept car may take at least three years before hitting the assembly line so many things may still happen.

Volvo's EV Will Be Built In China And Will Be Arriving In 2019

Volvo recently announced in Shanghai that the company's first mass-produced electric vehicle for consumers would be arriving in 2019. The automaker said that it would be built in China and the model will be offered worldwide.
The China-built EV will be using a version of Volvo's Compact Modular Architecture. It's the same platform as the company's larger Scalable Product Architecture for the 90 Series models, and the parts are close enough for products on each one to share a few parts. The automaker is currently using a CMA on the new XC60, and more cars with the underpinnings are on the way in the 40 and 60 Series.
Henrick Green, Volvo's recently appointed boss of Research and Development, said, "We are full speed now developing our first full EV to launch in 2019, and it will be followed up. It will not be a one-off project, and it will be followed up by further products down the line. Right now we have the plug-in hybrid which we believe is a very strong transitional product."
Earlier this year, the automaker and Geely, its Chinese owner, said that the EV would have a 100-kilowatt-hour battery capacity, and later some reports claimed a driving range of at least 250 miles (402 km) on a charge. In addition, some of these future vehicles will also be offered on the SPA platform. Volvo will be required to proliferate on this tech right away because it will aim to have a million electric vehicles on the road by 2025.
Furthermore, Volvo chose China as the production location since it's the world biggest market for electric vehicles. Major growth in the segment could speed up there as China's government has stricter rules for regulating air quality. Also, China's leaders currently want 40 percent of traffic to be plug-in hybrids, EV's, or models with hydrogen fuel cells by the year 2030, which would sum up to 15.2 million vehicles.

2018 Acura TLX Presented Having Long-Wheelbase Prototype; Many Are Fans

The 2018 Acura TLX, particularly the TLX-L appears to be longer and stretched than ever before. Its prototype was recently showcased at the Shanghai Auto Show. From what was officially introduced, the prototype has long-wheelbase which made a good number of industry experts like the idea.
The 2018 Acura TLX, particularly the TLX-L was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show shortly after the debut of facelifted 2018 TLX in New York. The TLX long-wheelbase variant is reported to be sold in China this year. However, Acura did not provide information on how extended the wheelbase is and how much more legroom it will come with.
A statement, however, was released stating that the 2018 Acura TLX should deliver additional comfort and space especially for those seated at the rear. To make it even more interesting, its extra length will never be a detriment to its performance. It is expected to perform like a shorter car but with a lot more space and legroom for passengers.
Passenger comfort and space is of utmost importance the world over and the Chinese market is not an exception. There is even going to be built locally for the Chinese market. This is the second Acura model to be manufactured in China with the first being its compact CDX crossover.
Toshihiko Sato, the president of GAC Honda Automobile said that Acura will further strengthen all aspects of its business in China which includes production, sales and service, so many customers experiences "The Performance" unique to Acura. This is definitely good partnership which will largely benefit both Chinese consumers and the company at the same time.
With only two images released, there's not much detailed information available. Details on its engine, powertrain, infotainment system and much more are not available. At present, industry experts are just content to see that the 2018 Acura TLX-L prototype will come longer and promises more space and comfort for passengers.

2019 Toyota Supra: Old School Brand With New and Upgraded Design

Considered as one of the most iconic cars to be released by Toyota, the Supra is finally confirmed for a comeback. The 2019 Toyota Supra promises a new breed of performance, as well as to lure enthusiasts and buyers who have a tender heart for this iconic piece of car engineering.
Toyota has yet to reveal all the details regarding the 2019 Supra. However, the very fact that the company confirmed that it is building it is enough to stir excitement to many in the motoring community.
Following Toyota's announcement, a handful of leaks, spy shots, and speculations have gained traction around the community. While this information has to be taken with a grain of salt, it is interesting to point out that some of these may also bear a speck of truth
The upcoming Toyota Supra is essentially a product of collaboration. The sports car is believed to share its platform with a new BMW roadster that is planned to replace the Z4. The Supra is expected to be available exclusively as a coupe, while its BMW sibling will sport a hardtop design, according to Digital Trends.
Many speculate that Toyota will go full-blown retro with the upcoming Supra. However, with some leaked photos of the upcoming sports car, this will not be the case most likely.
A photo of the 2019 Toyota Supra has been circulating in several motoring blogs and forums lately. It shows the sports car featuring a futuristic design that is hauntingly similar to the FT-1 concept car. While this design concept might easily turn off old-school Supra fans, the design is pleasing to the eyes and shows how committed Toyota is when it comes to the evolution of its design cues.
Not much is known about the engine of the upcoming 2019 Toyota Supra. Word around the community is that the sports car will pack a brand-new V6 engine. A pair of turbochargers is also expected. Something that will push the engine's output to as much as 400 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque.

Mercedes-Benz has finally revealed their brand new Concept A Sedan at the Shanghai Motor Show in China. The vehicle is said to be a preview of its new entry-level sedan model that will go on sale as a part of the automaker's upcoming eight model powerful fourth-generation compact car line-up.
The brand new four-door sedan is set to rival the likes of the Audi A3 sedan and the upcoming BMW 1-Series sedan. The latter is currently being manufactured and sold exclusively in China, but it will be available globally when the third-generation 1-Series will launch in 2019.
While the new sedan is different from the CLA when it comes to designs, the reduced lines and surfaces clearly show a new era in terms of designs. Chief Design Office Daimler AMG, Gordon Wagener, said, "Our Concept A Sedan shows that the time of creases is over. It is the next milestone of 'Sensual Purity' and has the potential to introduce a new design era."
Similar to its premium brand rivals, the brand new Mercedes-Benz Concept A Sedan is designed to offer customers the choice of a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel powertrains. It includes a 300kW turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol unit in a range-topping A45 4Matic sedan. Insiders claim that it will be added to the Mercedes-Benz AMG lineup as a direct rival to the Audi RS3 sedan.
The vehicle's grid structures of the headlights are covered with ultraviolet paint that glows in various colors depending on the light around them. During daylight, the running lights are white. Its rear comes with a diffuser look by simply painting the bottom half of the bumper.
In addition, the concept also gets a dark privacy film for its windows and a full-length panoramic glass roof. It's also equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels.
When it comes to dimensions, the car is 112mm longer, 74mm wider and 46mm higher than the Audi A3 sedan. And at the same time, it's 116mm shorter, 60mm wider and 20mm higher than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The brand new Mercedes-Benz Concept A Sedan is anticipated to arrive later in 2018.
